Memory Making Monday: Nicknames!

Image
This week's Memory Making Monday is about Nick Names!  Do you have a nick name? Who gave it to you or how did you "acquire" it?  I have several nicknames but I suppose the one that has stuck my entire life is the nickname "Monkey".   My grandmother, mother, and my father all have called me that nickname.

This week, see if you can come up with a layout about your nicknames and don't forget to journal how you came to get that name.

Finish it Friday- Part 2

Image
How are you coming on your Finish it Friday projects? Make any progress?  A little? A lot?  I made some myself.  Take a look at this two page layout from the Florence Paper Collection I completed.  It took me a while to get this done so there will be more layouts coming from this collection before the weekend is over.   In the meantime, please enjoy this one!

This left page of this layout is of me when I was in the first grade, circa 1975.  I attended a Christian school at the time that didn't require uniforms until the next school year.
This right page of this layout are pictures of me in 1986 and 1987 respectively.  The left and right photos are the Summer of 1986 just prior to my Senior Year of High School.  These were Senior Portraits.   The center photo is 1987 and my cap and gown photo from South View Senior High.

Stay tuned tomorrow and Sunday I will have more layouts and cards from the August Florence Paper Collection.  As a reminder, this collection is in our 2015-2016 …

Work It Girl Wednesday: Awesome Friendships

Image
Wow! It's Work it Girl Wednesday!! What's that you say well, that's when I share with you my multitude of reasons that I love Close to my Heart.

Without a doubt, one of my most favorite reasons that I love Close to my Heart are the friendships I have made while being a consultant.  There are so many opportunities to meet new folks both customers and consultants and build relationships, from gatherings, workshops, team building events or the annual National Convention every summer!!

Speaking of National Convention, check out these pictures from the 2013 Close to my Heart National Convention at Walt Disney World, in Orlando Florida.
Me with my "boyfriend" Donald Duck and his BFF Pluto!
I met Shannon at the 2013 Close to my Heart and we became fast friends.   I am blessed to say that now, she is my awesome upline.   It's so much fun being on the Stampin' Buds Team.  She's the best ever! If you join under my Inky Wheeler's team, you'll not onl…

Memory Making Monday

Image
Did you play sports in High school or recreational league growing up? I didn't growing up but as an adult I've had the privilege of taking wheelchair tennis lessons on three separate occasions.  It absolutely is one of my favorite sports.

This week's Memory Making Monday prompt is to scrapbook your favorite sports memories. Make sure to include your favorite funny or even not so funny memories and journal them. Now, I'm off to see if I can find some of my photos from my wheelchair tennis lesson days so I too, can scrapbook those memories.

Happy Memory Making Monday!

Memory Making Monday

Welcome to our first Memory Making Monday Prompt.  Today's prompt is " What are some of best souvenirs you have collected while traveling?

For me, I'd have to say that my most memorable trip was the 2013 Close to my Heart convention in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney World.  Gosh, I came back with so many souvenirs, most given to us by the Close to my Heart corporate office in the way of product samples, but also some things I was able to purchase while doing some sight seeing of Downtown Disney (now called Disney Springs).  Two particular souvenirs come to mind.  The first is a button that says " First Disney Convention".  It was given to me by the cast member who was on duty at the hotel gift shop the convention was held.  The nice elderly gentleman told me that each shop is given only so many of the buttons to give to guests and that he was down to his last two and wanted me to have one of them.  That makes it extra special.   The other special souvenir fro…
